- A hospital where the doctors and nurses were the sickest people in the
building?
- What would you think?
|
|
3
|
- Why so many Christians are addicts?
- For example:
- So Many Perverted Christians? Sex Addicts.
- So Many Violent Christians? Violence Addicts.
- So Many Greedy Christians? Money Addicts.
- So Many Racists Christians? Pride in Flesh Addicts.
- Why There Are So Many Obese Christians? Food Addicts.
- In General So Many Christians That Just Don’t Seem Like Christ?
|
|
4
|
- I thought people at church, including myself, would be “holy”.
- Years went by with no improvement except puffing myself up with “head”
knowledge.
- You’d think that fixing character defects should be a piece of cake for
God.
- As Christians we are told not to sin but never told exactly how to stop
sinning.
- Why?
- Because most Christians don’t understand most of the bible. And usually
have many wrong and incomplete teachings.
|
|
5
|
- The bible teaches that Christians should produce the fruit of the Holy
Spirit which is:
- love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness,
self-control.
- Against such things there is not a law. But the ones belonging to Christ
crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
- If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not
become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
(Gal 5:22-26 LITV)
- But one sees very little of this at church.
|
|
6
|
- Christians Are Supposed to Be Like Jesus
- Which means being “crucified” like him and obedient to His Father and
full of the Holy Spirit.
- But how do you become like Jesus? This is obviously a mystery to most
Christian churches on Earth.
|
|
7
|
- We keep the Sabbath so we’re the true church.
- We have a pope so we’re the true church.
- It’s normal to sin just repent a lot.
- This can be a problem when you’re destroying other people’s lives
though. (Watch “Deliver Us From Evil”)
- We speak in tongues so we’re the true church.
- We say “Jehovah” so we’re the true church
- We say “Yahweh” so we’re the true church.
- We have “a plurality of wives” so we’re the true church.
- We have no statues so we’re the true church.
- Notice that Leaven always puffs up with pride. “We’re the Best! Look at
us!”
- But you never hear “We’re Exactly Like Jesus – We’re the True Church!”
that would be a new one!
|
|
8
|
- Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Mat 16:24 KJV)
- When’s the last time you heard a sermon about crucifying yourself and
more importantly about how exactly to do that?
|
|
9
|
- And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they
- cast out devils;
- they shall speak with new tongues;
- They shall take up serpents;
- and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
- they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mar 16:17-18
KJV)
|
|
10
|
- By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one
to another. (Joh 13:35 KJV)
- Beloved, be not thou following that which is evil, but that which is
good; he who is doing good, of God he is, and he who is doing evil hath
not seen God;
(3Jn 1:11 YLT)
|
|
11
|
- I never got help at church. I think I got worse because I started to
mask my evil to seem holy.
- Never got help from anyone really because they had to act holy too.
- I read many books and videos and none of them really helped. And spent a
lot of money buying the “answer.” Thick books too.
- Being baptized in the Holy Spirit helped a great deal. But the things I
learned after being baptized in the Holy Spirit I’ve RARELY heard taught
in a sermon
- The Holy Spirit has led me into much truth but not ALL truth. Yet.
|
|
12
|
- My family watched a documentary called, “Deliver Us From Evil” where we
see Catholic priests being
protected by the Catholic church who are accused of being pedophiles.
- Many of them even confessed, in writing, to the crimes and still were
protected by the catholic church and our own government. Why?
- Because we’re not about being in God’s presence but about business.
- We are ruled by Accounting Books not Books of Scripture.
|
|
13
|
- We also saw another documentary, called “Law of Love” where one British
woman baptized in the Holy Spirit left with $8 to China and converted a
whole Heroin slum into a thriving apostolic church. Her church didn’t
fund her or support her. She just trusted God.
- What’s the difference?
- She said a real Christian is someone who has been “touched” by God.
- Bingo. It’s all about being in the Presence of God that separates a
Spirit Led Christian (Overcomer) from a Flesh Controlled one.
|
|
14
|
- Have you ever wondered why the people who should be the Holiest are
usually the most perverted and addicted?
- Ted Haggard, the evangelical leader, was a drug and sex addict.
- Jimmie Swaggart etc…
- It’s not just the Catholics but almost all the big religions seem able
to pump out addicts galore.
- Why?
|
|
15
|
- What do I mean?
- In the bible whenever people “see God’s face” or “encounter God” their
carnal man is destroyed (or starts the dying process) and God changes
their name.
- These are the people who should lead. They’ve been touched by the love
of God.
- Like when Abram became Abraham at 99.
- Our churches just pick people who speak well or look good on stage or
can attract a crowd.
- Anyone can read the bible and say things that sound Holy.
- Anyone can go to church and never grow
in spiritual maturity.
- The key to Spiritual Growth is remaining in God’s presence.
- God is a consuming fire and remaining in his presence barbeque’s the
flesh nature until a sinless, loving, miracle working Christian is left.
- And this is the secret to breaking Addictions as we’ll see. But it’s
painful and not for the faint of heart.
|
|
16
|
- Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are:
- adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery,
enmities, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings,
- and things like these;
- of which I tell you beforehand, as I also said before, that the ones
practicing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:19-21
LITV)
- Our flesh nature inherited from Adam is the cause of all addictions.
Satan can work through our weak flesh too but the main cause is our
“flesh nature.”
|
|
17
|
- But for the cowardly and unbelieving, and those having become foul, and
murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the
lying ones, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and
brimstone, which is the second death.
(Rev 21:8 LITV)
- Notice the solution for these problems is to be “burned.” And this is,
indeed, the solution.
|
|
18
|
- Or the “Adamic” nature. Or the “Old Man” (Rom 6:6)
- Some people have more of this than others but we all are born with it.
- Notice the list from Galatians 5 includes all the “addictions” known to
man.
- But How are Christian’s taught to “control” these things?
|
|
19
|
- Alcoholics wouldn’t go to AA if churches were curing them.
- Priests wouldn’t be molesting kids if churches were teaching them how to
overcome.
- Imagine a hospital where the doctors were the sickest people!
- Evangelicals wouldn’t be gay meth-freaks if churches were teaching
people how to overcome addictions.
- Can you imagine a gay meth-freak teaching you how to quit smoking?
- Obviously, for the most part, churches just seem holy but have no power
or knowledge that’s useful or relevant to helping mankind overcome their
flesh.
|
|
20
|
- Because they keep people in the presence of God more than most churches.
- They are much closer to the biblical solution than churches who just
want us to repent of our sin as we constantly sin.
- Have you ever asked God for help to stop a “flesh” behavior? What was
the result?
|
|
21
|
- The Twelve Steps
- These are the original Twelve Steps as published by Alcoholics
Anonymous.[8]
- We admitted we were powerless over alcohol—that our lives had become
unmanageable.
- Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to
sanity.
- Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God
as we understood Him.
- Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
- Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact
nature of our wrongs.
- Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
|
|
22
|
- Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
- Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make
amends to them all.
- Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do
so would injure them or others.
- Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly
admitted it.
- Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact
with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will
for us and the power to carry that out.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried
to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in
all our affairs.
|
|
23
|
- They actually do what the bible says more than Churches which is to keep
members in God’s presence so he can burn the flesh nature off of them.
|
|
24
|
- Do Catholic priests believe Jesus is God?
- Yes and they still sin.
- Did Ted Haggard believe Jesus is God?
- Yes and he still sinned.
- Do you and I believe and still sin?
- Yes.
- The bible teaches that even devils believe in Jesus and tremble.
- Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also
believe, and tremble. (Jas 2:19 KJV)
- Believing isn’t enough.
|
|
25
|
- He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I
will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess
his name before my Father, and before his angels. (Rev 3:5 KJVR)
- If “having” the Holy Spirit is enough then why are some Christians being
blotted out from the book of life?
- You can be disqualified, from ruling and reigning with Christ, through
having not conquered or overcome the flesh.
|
|
26
|
- Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the
prize? So run, that ye may obtain. …
- But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any
means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.
(1Co 9:24-27 KJV)
- How could Paul be “disqualified” if having the Holy Spirit is enough?
|
|
27
|
- We must be burned in fire until we are completely consumed
- We mustn't get a little burn then jump out and heal and grow worst.
- Sin feeds the flesh. Fire cures it.
- The more we sin the stronger our flesh gets.
|
|
28
|
- There is a prize for “overcoming” the flesh.
- The prize is to rule and reign with Christ during the millennium.
- So while everyone will eventually be “saved” only those who “overcome”
the flesh will receive the prize of having the most glorious job ever!!!
|
|
29
|
- The Bible teaches that no man can see God and live.
- What does this mean?
- This means that someone who actually is in God’s presence will die. At
least their
“old” flesh nature.
- Flesh cannot survive unquenchable fire.
- Carnal people are not in God’s presence. Because if they were their
flesh would be dead.
|
|
30
|
- They took God’s tool to heal us from addiction, Fire, and corrupted it
into an eternal Hell.
- So because they destroyed this tool they have the most addicted and
perverted churches and their Flesh runs their lives!
|
|
31
|
- And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me,
and live.
- (Exo 33:20 KJV)
- Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. (1Ch 16:11
KJV)
- Why does God want us to seek his face continually if it will kill us?
|
|
32
|
- Beloved, do not imitate the bad, but the good. He who does good is from
God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
(3Jn 1:11 MKJV)
- Flesh can only survive when it is out of the fire of God’s presence.
|
|
33
|
|
|
34
|
- Notice that Abraham (who represents God the Father) tied Isaac to the
wood before he was supposed to kill him and burn him up.
- Isn’t this exactly what Jesus did when he carried his wood up the hill
and was nailed to it and “set on fire” in his baptism of “fire”?
|
|
35
|
|
|
36
|
- Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized
into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
- …Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of
sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- For he that is dead is freed from sin.
(Rom 6:3-10 KJV)
|
|
37
|
- So how do we “kill” the flesh man then.
- In the bible there are various ways.
- AA has their 12 steps
- The bible teaches similar concepts
- Burned at the altar or crucifixion.
- Baptism.
- Stoning
|
|
38
|
- Burning like a sacrifice. Destroys the flesh.
- Baptism is death by drowning. Water symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
- Stoning is being hit by Jesus or the Word.
|
|
39
|
- So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Rom 8:8 KJV)
- I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die
daily. (1Co 15:31 KJV)
- But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have
their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is
the second death. (Rev 21:8 KJV)
|
|
40
|
- For our God is a consuming fire.
(Heb 12:29 KJV)
- Since we know that God’s presence is fire the secret to burning off our
addictions and flesh is to remain in God’s presence until we are burned
to a crisp.
- We must seek his “face” or presence continually.
- In the bible someone who is burned to a crisp is called an overcomer.
- Can you think of ways to seek Gods face?
|
|
41
|
- The key to becoming an overcomer is to be like Isaac and Jesus.
- You must be nailed or tied to the wood before you are set on fire.
- You must be fastened to your lumber.
- You must remain in God’s presence.
- You must “seek His face” continually.
|
|
42
|
- The trick to “seeing” God is to speak to him face to face like a friend.
- It’s to build a relationship with him and spend as much time as possible
with him.
- Praying, Talking, Reading His Word, Singing, Assembling with Others of
Like Mind, Obeying Him, Etc…
- Constant Communion with Your Friend!
|
|
43
|
- When Abraham offered Isaac he carried wood up the hill and tied Isaac to
it to burn him.
- Jesus was nailed.
- The point is that we need to be fastened to the wood to be completely
burned.
- Most Christians are just burned a little and running around in shock.
They need to be nailed down and burned completely.
- Then they’ll be like Jesus and Isaac.
- God’s presence is the fire but we need to be fastened to the wood.
|
|
44
|
|
|
45
|
- And if our flesh heals we need to confess to our brethren and ask God to
nail us to the stick anew more securely.
- We need to burn, burn, burn.
- Because as long as the flesh is alive we will reap the fruit of the
Flesh. Addiction to evil destructive things. That’s our nature.
|
|
46
|
- Jesus talked about the “baptism of fire.”
- But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till
it be accomplished! (Luk 12:50 KJV)
- He was speaking of being crucified. Or destroying the flesh through
obedience to God.
- Just like Isaac.
- And we are told to carry our own cross so that we too can be offered,
burnt, on the wood like Jesus.
- I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is your reasonable service. (Rom 12:1 KJV)
|
|
47
|
|
|
48
|
- Most churches teach nothing useful to battle addiction.
- The bible says we must burn the flesh completely or be “baptized with
fire.”
- We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit but it’s not enough unless we
kill the flesh.
- Will-power is useless.
- We can be filled with the Holy Spirit and still be led by our “Flesh”
- This will rob us of the prize for Overcoming the flesh – which is to be
disqualified from ruling and reigning with Christ.
- It will also make us perverts, drug addicts, gluttonous, etc…
- Only God’s presence burns flesh and stops addictions. Remaining in his
presence while being led by the Holy Spirit is the bible formula to
victory.
